Find wonder in everything you see at Selinda Camp!
The sky slowly lightens and then turns dark orange, with groves of magnificent borassus palms thrown sharply into silhouette against the onset of dawn… Sunrise at Selinda Camp is nothing less than spectacular and to be savoured as only life-changing memories can.
Set in one of the most pristine wilderness areas left on our planet, the Selinda Camp rests on the banks of the eastern Selinda Spillway in northern Botswana’s startlingly beautiful and remote 320,000-acre Selinda Reserve.
The Selinda Spillway is an ancient waterway which flows in two directions, weaving its way as it links the far-reaches of the vast Okavango Delta in the south with the Linyanti wetlands in the west, receiving water from both. Further west is the Savute Channel, Chobe and the mighty Zambezi. North lays Namibia’s Caprivi Strip and Angola…
Selinda Camp overlooks the Selinda Spillway, an enigmatic, often ephemeral river which links the Okavango Delta with the floodplains of the remote Linyanti Swamps. The spillway nourishes a particularly rich environment, famous for its dense populations of animals. The beautifully decorated main lodge and various viewing decks overlook the river’s palm-fringed floodplains and is the ideal place to kick back, relax and watch as wildlife comes to drink.
Set out on morning and afternoon game drives in custom-made open 4X4s or head off on thrilling bush walks guided by professional rangers. Your evenings, after you’ve enjoyed a spotlit night drive and dinner, are spent around the traditional campfire sharing your stories with the other guests and guides. It’s the ideal destination for wildlife enthusiasts but romantics and honeymooners will love the alfresco, star-lit dining, decadent stone bathtub and in-room massages.
Selinda Camp has only nine double luxury canvas tents, built on raised wooden decks and shaded by vast thatch canopies.
The spacious tents feature large, mosquito net-draped beds, a writing desk and sitting area as well as an expansive en suite dressing room and bathroom.
The en suite bathroom has both a shower and a large, decadent bathtub while the shady veranda offers views of the floodplain and the animals that gather at the water’s edge.

Begin your days at dawn with a light breakfast around the campfire before setting out on your morning game drive. A hearty brunch is served on your return to camp while your afternoon activity is preceded by afternoon tea and snacks. Designed with the elements in mind, Selinda Camp pays homage first and foremost to water, with splashes of blue and a crystal-clear swimming pool offering views over the equally immaculate Selinda Spillway. The billowing silks, which adorn the ceilings of the lounge area, are a tribute to air, and the afternoon breezes that ripple the endless sea of grasses. Selinda Camp Reviews
“We cannot speak more highly of the Camp. We had high expectations and they were surpassed in every way. The managerial staff were great company and ensured that all of our needs were catered for. The accommodation and facilities were exceptional and the food was excellent. The quality of game sightings was fantastic.” – Robert H
“This place is accessible by small plane and then a boat ride. The welcome is warm and service is good. The team is professional while managing to be warm and friendly. The lodges are tents on a wooden floor and are light and airy and very comfortable. It’s great to wake up to birdsong and a breeze blowing through the tent. Wake up time (plus welcome early morning cuppa) depends on the activities of the morning and it’s always your choice. Our outings were great with many sightings of lion prides and of course many hippos. Going fishing with Donald was a highlight. Food was varied enough to suit all tastes and plenty of it. We had a great time, thanks to all.” – JandJ150
“From the moment we were greeted by our guide Stanley we felt at home. He was warm and friendly and was easy to spend time with. Stanley was extremely knowledgable and went above and beyond what we expected in terms of teaching us about the animals and the delta. He even taught us a song that that will be forever on my Iphone to share with whoever will listen. Stanley had a 6th sense kind of connection with nature. He had amazing energy day after day. Stanley we love you kiddo and wish you great success in all you do. You will go far!!! Benaki (Sweet Momma “B”) was the matriarch (I say!) at Selinda Camp. She made everyone feel so welcome. She spent time with you one on one (and in a group) and truly seemed to want to know you!” – KellyHowell
