Travel to the heart of paradise, the Oddballs’ Enclave experience.
Oddballs’ Enclave is on a small island just off the south-western edge of Chiefʼs Island, deep in the heart of the Okavango, and bordering Moremi Game Reserve. The camp is accessible only by light aircraft. On arrival, you will be welcomed to the island by your private guide, who will remain your guide for the duration of your stay.

Our travel consultants are on hand to put together an itinerary to suit your every travel need. Our quick response time means that you get the holiday of your dreams without the wait.
Oddballs’ Enclave is an adjunct to Oddballs’ proper, a secluded, 10-bed addendum with its own dining area, its own spectacular view, and bigger, walk-in mini Meru tents, with king-sized beds, and all en-suite, al-fresco Okavango-style. Without going over the top we’ve created something with greater creature-comforts, without breaking the bank and without resorting to the gold tap.
Oddballs’ Enclave fills a niche in the market, for those who want to be able to stand up in their tent, luxuriate in a large bed with crisp white linen, experience the authentic Okavango, and all in a relaxed and comfortable atmosphere without pretension.
Wildlife and Activities
An astonishing array of species cohabit in the Okavango, be they plant, animal, bird, insect or reptile. Low nutrient levels mean that sheer numbers of any one species is sacrificed to variety, and few of Africa’s wilderness areas can boast the diversity the Okavango can. And because we love the Okavango we operate no generators, we offer no motorized activities (you will either be gliding through the waterways in a hand-made mokoro, or you will be walking on your own two feet across the islands), solar powers our batteries and heats our water, and every little bit of rubbish is bagged and flown up and out of the Okavango altogether.
Our guides are the same men you have come to admire and respect, the swampmen of Sedibana village, perfectly at home in their place, in their mekoro, in their environment. Our staff are the same singing women of the Okavango, resplendent in their dazzling smiles. Our cooks are the same Oddballs’ has had for years – call that decades.
Oddballs’ Enclave is paying homage to a time when safaris were a real adventure. Activities are conducted by your own professional guide, a man of the swamp, born and bred in the area. The Enclave is a small, intimate hideaway with spectacular views over the flood plain that lies before it.
Oddballs’ Enclave Reviews
“What a fabulous, intimate camp. We could not have wished for more. KT and gang met us at the airstrip and took our bags and walked us back to camp. After a very warm welcome, tea and other drinks, we checked into our fabulous tent and unpacked and rested before meeting for our afternoon activity.” – RoseMcCauley
“Friendly, helpful staff who are eager to please. Lodging are basic tents set on platforms that are small, but comfortable. Bathroom is just outside the tent, with bucket showers, but plenty of hot water from the solar water heaters. Food is rustic, but very good, and served in a communal dining area made up of picnic tables. The main lodge area faces the sunsets (which are beautiful) and they offer cold drinks, comfortable lounge chairs and an evening bonfire.” – EisBaer
“I stayed 2 nights at Oddballs, it was an experience I’ll remember the rest of my life. The tents are mounted on platform off the ground, clean and comfortable, with good cots that are easy to sleep on. The staff will come and tidy up the tents each day, at night they are a great place to listen to the abundant wild life as you drift off to sleep. Private outdoor showers and toilet facilities are really nice and very convenient.” – Chicag0_Paul
