PHOTOGRAPHIC SAFARI ON THE CHOBE RIVER

Capture the magnificent wildlife and scenic landscapes of the Chobe National Park on an unforgettable photographic safari. Accompanied by professional photographers, you will set out in a custom-built boat from where you will receive expert tips and recommendations on how to capture the most breathtaking images. Every seat on the boat is fitted with a top-of-the-range camera that is fitted to a customised mount, so you needn’t bring your own equipment.

BOAT CRUISE ON THE CHOBE RIVER

The best way to end a day of safari here is sipping on a cocktail while watching an African sunset over the still waters of the Chobe River from the comfort of one of our specially designed riverboats. Sundowner cruises are also a great way of seeing buffalo up close as they come out of the shade to graze in the cooler evenings and elephants as they wade in the river. Chobe is renowned for its abundance of dramatic sable and roan antelopes with their impressive horns. Sitatungas – antelope with splayed feet to help them run in swamps – are often seen here, as are the wild dog and lion that prey upon them.

Conservation & Community

At &Beyond we seek to maintain a low impact on the land while deriving high yield for our conservation initiatives by creating very small luxury lodges that support enormous tracts of biodiverse land, which remain untouched.

[us_single_image image=”21430″ size=”full” align=”center”]

At every lodge we seek out small (and sometimes not so small) but meaningful ways of putting our values into action every day. Each &Beyond lodge supports the conservation of wildlife and contributes to its neighbouring communities in one way or another. In addition, we seek to limit our impact in terms of fossil fuels, the use of renewable energy, water and waste management, and recycling. At &Beyond Chobe Under Canvas, our mobile campsites do not have the physical impact on the environment of a permanent camp. Campsites are meticulously cleaned before moving on and waste is disposed of responsibly.

Chobe Under Canvas Reviews

“Our stay at Chobe Under Canvas was nothing short of amazing! If all camping could be this good, I was be forever converted! Our “palace” was beautiful – the most comfortable bed, shower, flushing toilet. Shower water can be made hot on request but after an afternoon game drive, it was the most refreshing thing to shower under water warmed by the day’s sun.” – Laura H

“We spent 2 nights in Chobe Under Canvas and we had the time of our lives. The tent was immaculate, comfortable, and we slept like babies every night, falling asleep listening to the lions roar. The Chobe Family all had such fun and outgoing personalities, it was really a pleasure to be around them! We watched “Bush TV Channel One” by the fire, and enjoyed having our meals with Robson and Blue and our guide Max – they had so many funny stories.” – Tunali

“Chobe under canvas was our second stop and our first in Botswana. African Travel Resource does an amazing job of fitting the lodge to the traveler. It was wonderful. the tents were spacious, the beds soft, the food excellent and the staff could not be nicer. We enjoyed sitting around the campfire after dinner listening to the night sounds of the bush. We had great game viewing.” – MEBesq
